Cannoneer & other updates – My experiences

Ahoy matey! With the Cannoneer arrived (while I was at school) it’s time to make one and see if it’s fun. I will also write about all the other new changes and new stuff! Let’s start with the Cannoneer!

Read on to see it :)

Creating a Cannoneer

To start the life of a Cannoneer, just go to the title screen. Arrived there, you can also see a new background!

Just like you always do, select your server, channel, and click ”Create a Character”. Don’t be sad if you don’t haven’t got any space left to make a Cannoneer, just log in on another character and you’ll get a coupon which gives you one more Character spot. After you clicked it, choose the Cannoneer button.

As you can see, the Mercedes and Demon Slayer are coming soon =).

Well, let’s go on with the Cannoneer. When you made your character, you will start on a pirate ship. A few seconds later a Balrog shows up and punches you far, far away, to Coco Island. A monkey wakes you up, since you passed out. This monkey will accompany you everywhere when you become a Cannoneer. After that, you have to do much tutorial quests for a guy named Cutter. Finally, you have to find all the parts to build a cannon which is gonna shoot you to the Nautilus.

Arrived at the Nautilus, you have to complete two more quests and go to Kyrin to make your Job Advancement.

Congratulations matey! Ye`re a real sea dog now!

I have also uploaded a video of the tutorial. For some reason the first part on the ship isn’t in my video :(

This was the start of a Cannoneer. Of course there’s a lot more information about the Cannoneer, but if I am writing all that down here, I’ll be busy with that for weeks… So I decided to only do the beginning of the Cannoneer. Maybe me or my brother will write a guide for the Cannoneer :)

 – Cannoneer’s skills and other things to know –

  • The Cannoneer is an Explorer, so it doesn’t have anything to do with the Heroes and/or Resistance.
  • Cannoneers use STR and DEX with STR as the main stat and DEX as the secondary stat. For a good guide, look here! Credits go to: marksnicks on Basilmarket.
  • Cannoneers can only acces Coco Island while being in the tutorial.
  • The Cannoneer uses a Hand Cannon as weapon, and has to have it equipped to use most of it’s skills.
As soon as I reach level 30, I will upload a skill video!

– Other changes/updates –

Let’s share my experiences of all the other updates and changes with you!

Many things were added in this patch, like the Quick Move system, and a “NPC” button has been added. Let’s start with the Quick Move system. When you are in a town, you can see a button with the text: Move Quickly on it. This doesn’t work in town within the World Tour and not either in Masteria.

Click that to open a window where you can move to several places.

From left to right:

  1. Maximus – enter the Battle Square
  2. Dimensional Portal
  3. Monster Park Cab
  4. Intercontinental station (Ships boarding to other continents)
  5. Free Market
  6. Taxi
Click one of these to move immediately to that place. Well, you just have to confirm it then.
Nice, isn’t it? :). Note: Battle Square and Monster Park are greyed out, because my Cannoneer isn’t a high enough level yet to enter.
Oh, I forgot one more place to go to:
  • Ardentmill – Profession Town

Next up, there’s the new “NPC” button on the Minimap which you could’ve noticed in a picture above. When you click this button, a screen appears with all the NPC’s in the town you currently are.

You can scroll down in that window to see more of them. You can also select a NPC to see it’s location at the minimap. An orange arrow appears above the NPC ”thingy” ():

Another nice update is that all the options, System Options and Game Options are both showed in one window!

(Normally, I have my resolution on 1024 x 768, but 800 x 600 gives a better quality for my photos.)

Stackable items have been updated. You can hold more potions of one sort in a slot. This makes me really happy, because I always have a lack of space in my inventory…

  • Normal Potions: You can hold up to 300 in one slot.
  • Alchemy Potions: You can hold up to 400 in one slot.
  • Pills: You can hold up to 600 in one slot.
  • Alchemy Pills: You can hold up to 800 in one slot.
Ex:
More potions can be bought at once now.

There are many more updates, but I can’t explain them all well to you, so just look at my other post with the Patch Notes of this first Legends update.

I will update this post with the things I can’t currently make pictures of and write down here when I can do that! :) So that will be almost everything which isn’t here but which is in the Patch Notes. Make an exception for Explorer Job Advancements, Quests, and the Gachapon and Cash Shop update.

Oh, there is one more thing I want to share with you: The base speed of all characters has been increased by 20%! So everyone is moving much faster now!

There will be another post with all the Events going on. That will probably come tomorrow :)

Happy Mapling ~!
