Mercedes – My Experiences

A little late post, but I hope that doesn’t matter! :) So, this post contains MY experiences with the new released class Mercedes. Another post with the newly started event is coming soon. Read on to see all my experiences!

The Mercedes is a sort of archer who uses Dual Bowguns as weapons. Those are crossbows. The Mercedes can wear the equipment of a common archer. The Mercedes has pointy ears (elf).

Before creating your Mercedes, you’ll notice a new background of the Title screen!

After this, the normal process: Select world and channel and select create a character. Now, click the Mercedes icon.

There’s one little stupid thing, the only thing you can change to your Mercedes, are the eyes and the gender. You can choose between two eyes.. I know when I played Japan MS I could change the hair aswell.. Even though all the Mercedes’ are looking very similar to each other now, they are a lot of fun!

So.. when you’ve created your Mercedes, a beautiful animated video starts. In this animated video are Mercedes and Freud, the Evan. See my YouTube video down here to watch that animated video!

After watching this video, you’re starting off as a level 200 Mercedes, (who isn’t that strong at all..) You see your friend Freud being unconscious lying next to his dragon Afrien.

Talk to the dragon and you’ll be moved to Elluel, the home town of Mercedes. In the town you see three ”old” NPC’s standing: Danika, Philius and Astilda. You have to talk to them. Philius explains what all happened, why it’s snowing in Elluel.

After that, you have to do some quests for these elders. One of these quests is killing 10 Slimes.

Every time you complete a quest for one Elder, that NPC will become frozen. After you completed all the quests and the 3 NPC’s are all frozen, you decide to go sleep. When you enter your house, an in-game video shows up:

You say:

So…Sleepy…

And you walk to your ”bed”.

Then, you show up and you say:

When the years have passed,

and my eyed are open once more

There begins to show up some ice next to you. You are frozen.

the Black Mage’s curse will be lifted

and the Elves will find peace…

After this, you see a text:

Hundreds of years later…

And you wake up as a level 10 Mercedes… You walk outside and you notice that all the people in Elluel are still frozen. You don’t know yet that you’re level 10. You want to investigate if the barrier on the left of the town is still there (the map where you went to to defeat the Slimes).

You say:

The barrier… gone?

It should’ve lasted hundreds of years.

And then you notice there’s something wrong about your level. I think the creators of Maplestory wanted to add something funny and weird:

You’re so mad that you’re freaking out o.O.

This was the beginning of the Mercedes questing line. The Mercedes’ story goes on until a very high level. I don’t know the exact level.

I have also uploaded a video on YouTube obout this all. All these pictures came from that video of mine. The very beginning isn’t included in this video, but would be only 5 seconds or so.

Let’s move on to the skills of the Mercedes! The Mercedes has got ranged skills (as you could think of yourself), and other nice buffs! I will list them all down here with description and picture.

Mounts

The mounts Mercedes is using are Unicorns! You know them, right? Those sweet, hairy horses with a horn on their head! There are 2 stages of the growth of your Unicorn.

At level 50, you will receive a quest from the Unicorn/Pegasus in Elluel. It will tell you that the power of the Black Mage is making it weak and hungry. You will basically have to go to the potion shop in Elluel, buy a potion for 10 million mesos and give it to the Unicorn/Pegasus. Then you’ll be rewarded with a cool Unicorn!

At level 120, your Unicorn simply grows to it’s next stage! No quest is needed, no, it just grows!

Well, I think this were the most important things of the Mercedes. If you’ve noticed something which was wrong during reading, please leave a comment below!

  1. Hi. This is informative but I was wondering when do the people in Elluel wake up? I can’t buy the pot if the merchant is asleep

    • Oh, that’s weird, the merchant is also asleep at my character, but I can buy everything from him. And uhm, the people will wake up as you get further in the Mercedes’s storyline. So if, you’re not a Mercedes, the people won’t wake up I think.
