A few hours ago, Nexon mentioned the upcoming game update called MapleStory Champions in a MapleWorld: World video. This video basically shows us the upcoming features of this update. It didn’t tell us a date, though. If you haven’t watched the video yet, you can watch it below.
Read on for more information!
First of all, there will be the Warrior, Bowman and Magician’s revamp. Mainly, for the Warrior, their mobility and attack skill will be improved, while the Bowman is becoming stronger and their summons (Frostprey and Phoenix) will become passove skills. The Magician will experience a better gameplay with shorter cooldowns and a bigger range.
Then there’s the Legends classes which are coming back. Cannoneer, Mercedes and Demon Slayer are back with improved skills. I don’t know for how long you will be able to create those classes again, but seriously, this is the third time these classes are brought back…
Now, some other interesting stuff, the PvP will be brought back! It will now be called Grand Battle, and it slightly differs from the old PvP, which was okay. I was actually experiencing a lag, since I’m not living in the US. I wonder if this is getting better as well. Anyway, this new PvP mode will be available to people of level 70 or above.
Last but not least, some minor changes will be made, like Spiegelmann’s Gonzo Gallery is getting better rewards. I guess they are doing this to make it more popular. It wasn’t quite popular, was it? Also, when the update is out, a part of the Orbis Tower is destroyed. Huckle can tell you more about this. Of course there will be added some new events too.
Earlier in this post, I mentioned I don’t know the exact date of this update yet, but it’s most likely it will be released in late September/early October. Since MapleStory’s getting one update each month lately, it will probably be October.
P.S: Yesterday, September 11, was my birthday! I turned 15 years old. :)
