Hyper Skills

Hyper Skills have been added for most of the classes that didn’t have them yet, if not all of them: All normal Explorers, Resistance, Dual Blade, Cannoneer, Demon Slayer, and Mihile. To read more about the basics of the Hyper Skills, I recommend reading this post. (Scroll all the way down!)

Evolution System

A new system has been added: the Evolution System. Using this system, you can create your own completely personalized hunting ground.

Before being able to use the Evolution System you have to start a quest. Then, enter the Evolution Lab through the Dimensional Mirror.

Inside the Evolution Lab, there are two NPCs: ESS, the instructor, and there’s a vendor (from which I don’t know the name because of the crowd, haha) called Vendor-C2 that sells “normal merchant items”, stuff such as scrolls and finally, the most important goods, Cores.

Cores are used in the Evolution System to modify everything and can either be found from drops from monsters inside the Evolution System or bought from the vendor for mesos or Evolving Coins (which I will explain later). Cores can also be obtained from quest rewards relating to the system.

First, let me explain how the cores work. After you’ve bought your first Cores you can talk to ESS and insert the cores in the System Circuit. There are different types of cores. For example, there are cores that increase the monsters’ HP, cores that increase the Party EXP given, cores that spawns bosses and even cores that change the map’s background or BGM! After you’ve inserted the cores, you can press start!

You can also insert no cores at all. In that case, the map will look like it does in the picture above.

Anyway, now you’re inside the Evolution System, you notice there aren’t any monsters. You can enable spawning by talking to the Monster Generator. Now you have 30 minutes to grind, or you can explore the Evolution System deeper!

There aren’t portals like in the normal world, but there are Links. You can check the different maps you have unlocked in the Lab Structure tab.

Links show up in every map, and you can unlock them by buying cores that (also) unlock new Links. For example, when you buy a core that spawns a boss, you unlock Link 4.

Each time you enter the system (with a maximum of five time a day), ESS has a quest for you to complete in every unlocked Link. These quests have cores as rewards.

Monsters inside the Evolution System do not only drop cores, but they also drop Evolving Coins. These coins can be spent at Vendor-C2. Like I wrote before, some of the cores cost Evolving Coins, and the scrolls and other stuff also cost coins.

I forgot to mention that you can also enter the Evolution System with party members! Just make sure they can still enter the system that day.

Finally, there’s a medal that can be obtained if you have used 500 cores, have invited party members 35 times, and have been other players’ party member 35 times:

  • Evolution Master: Medal – Required Level: 100, STR/DEX/INT/LUK +6, Weapon/Magic ATT +5

Dimension Invasion

New content called  Dimension Invasion has been added. In this new content, Hilla is trying to take over Heliseum and you have to prevent her from doing this by killing waves of monsters.

First of all, you can enter Dimension Invasion through the Dimensional Mirror.

In the lobby, there’s Piston. By talking to him, you can start Dimension Invasion. You can play either solo or in a party up to four (in-game it says four, in the update notes it says six) people.

Dimension Invasion consists of five waves of loads of monsters followed by a boss battle, with each wave being different. There is a rule that goes with all of the waves though:

On the top of the screen, there’s the monster meter. It counts the amount of monsters present in the battlefield. Make sure you keep killing monsters, because when there are too many monsters (and when the bar is full), you lose.

The waves are as follows:

  • Wave 1: Just a lot of monsters to kill, weak ones and very strong ones.

  • Wave 2: Mini-boss: Trojan Horse.
  • Wave 3: Very many but weak monsters that spawn from three different portals.
  • Wave 4: Flying bird things that drop poisonous bombs, dealing a lot of damage. After these are defeated, flying monsters will spawn.
  • Wave 5: A giant totem spawns and it won’t stop spawning monsters until it is destroyed. Also, the monsters spawned can’t be killed until the totem is destroyed.

Finally, there’s a boss battle. You fight one of the three bosses:

  • Hilla’s Dark Soul: Boss battle must be reached under 10 minutes.
  • Hilla and Magnus’ Soldiers: Boss battle must be reached between 10 and 20 minutes.
  • Magnus’ Soldiers: Boss battle must be reached after 20 minutes.

After each wave, you get a decent amount of EXP.

There are also some rewards you can get from the Dimension Invasion:

  • Dimension Drop Boxes: These boxes come in Normal, Fearful, Necromantic, and Psychotic varieties. Everyone who makes it to the final boss receives the Normal Dimension Drop Box. The Necromantic box drops when completing the Hilla stage, the Fearful box drops when completing the Hilla vs Magnus stage and the Psychotic box drops when completing the Magnus stage.
  • Dimension Gloves: REQ LVL: 140, STR/DEX/INT/LUK +12, Weapon/Magic +8, Weapon/Magic DEF +120, 7 upgrade slots (unhammered)

Theme Dungeon: Gold Beach

A new theme dungeon called Gold Beach has been opened. Gold Beach is invaded by different kinds of slimes and Gold Richie, the owner, has a quest line for you to complete including a final boss fight.

In order to enter Gold Beach, you have to talk to Irvin at Six Path Crossway (not Victoria Tree Platform!) and he’ll send you to this sweet beach.

You enter Gold Beach somewhere near the village. I guess the quest line starts here.

After walking a few maps to the right, there’s the village with a merchant and other NPCs that are involved in the quests.

Even more maps to the right is where the ocean starts. The map changes from a beach to water with clouds above it. The final boss also resides in one of these maps.

Monster Park has been updated with a new “mode”. Character from level 40 – 100 can participate in Monster Park Extreme (MPE).

You can request a match by right-clicking a character and choosing “Rock-Paper-Scissors”.

You have 10 seconds to choose either rock, paper or scissors. The winner gets one fame and the loser loses one fame. There’s a maximum of 20 matches per day.
