Part two of the Unleashed update has been released. This update features Xenon, the first hybrid character in MapleStory. Along with Xenon, some new equipment has been added. Please read on!

Xenon

Before I’m going to write about Xenon, you should read his backstory first:

A young boy once disappeared from Edelstein while walking home after playing Mesorangers with his friends. Abducted by Gelimer, the chief scientist of the Black Wings, the boy’s memories were seemingly erased and he was made into a test subject for advanced cyberization.

Several years later, the leaders of the Resistance broke into one of Gelimer’s labs, but one of them – Claudine – was captured. The kidnapped boy, now a superhuman cyborg named Xenon, was disturbed and confused. A memory started coming back to him: Claudine was one of his childhood friends. Puzzled by this revelation and wanting to unlock more of his memories, he freed Claudine and they fought their way out of the lab along with Xenon’s cyborg friend Roo-D.

Freed from captivity, Xenon sets out on a journey to regain his humanity.

Basic Information

Xenon belongs to the Resistance, and he is the first hybrid character in MapleStory, which means he can wear Thief and Pirate armor, and he needs STR, DEX, and LUK to get stronger.

As primary weapon, Xenon uses a new weapon type, called Whip Blade.

As secondary weapon he uses a Controller. This Controller gives Xenon additional stats, HP, MP and Defense.

Xenon’s maximum level is 250, just like all the other characters (except for the Knights of Cygnus).

Xenon does have mana (MP), but he uses the Surplus Supply system where he can store energy and use it for certain skills that don’t require mana. Energy restores automatically.

In the Character Creation screen, you can see Xenon’s difficulty, mobility, attack, and defense, as well as some information about him.

You can choose to create either a male or female character.

Then, you can choose between Xenon Type and Lotus Type, which both have a hairstyle and eyes that can’t be changed.

Finally, you can change your hair color, skin color, and accessory.

Xenon’s Basics

Passive Skill

  • MapleStory Surplus Supply Supply Surplus: One power unit recharged every 4 sec, 60% chance to recharge on unit on hit/evade. 1% all stats per extra power unit. Master Level: 1
  • MapleStory Hybrid Logic Hybrid Logic: At Master Level: All stats: +15%. Master Level: 3
  • MapleStory Camouflage Mimic Protocol: Lets you ignore equipment stat requirements. Also lets you equip Pirate and Thief Equipment. Master Level: 1
  • MapleStory Multi-Lateral I Multilateral I: Grants a special bonus based on stats, once those stats reach a certain threshold. Master Level: 1.
    • 20 STR: 5% for Power Stance
    • 20 DEX: 5% resistance to all elements and status ailments
    • 20 LUK: 5% Avoidability
    • 20 STR, DEX, and LUK: +5% total damage

Active Skill

  • Hero’s Echo: Increases all team members’ stats: At Master Level: Weapon/Magic ATT +4%, Duration 40 minutes, Cooldown 2 hours. Master Level: 1. Obtained on Level 200.
  • MapleStory Aviation Liberty Liberty Boosters: Activate boosters to fly: Duration 30 sec, Cooldown 30 sec. Master Level: 1
  • MapleStory Promessa Assault Promessa Escape: Summon the Promessa to return to base: Cooldown 600 sec. Master Level: 1
  • Modal Shift: Allows you to alter the attack mode of your Skills: Master Level: 1

  •  Beam Spline: At Master Level: Damage 150%, Number of Attacks: 2, Max Monster Hit: 4. Master Level: 20
  •  Pinpoint Salvo: At Master Level: Energy Cost: 1, Damage 50%, Number of Missiles: 4: Master Level: 4

Passive Skill

  •  Radial Nerve: At Master Level: Accuracy +10%, Speed +20, Jump +10. Master Level: 10
  •  Multilateral II: Grants a special bonus based on stats, once those stats reach a certain threshold. Stacks with previous tiers of Multilateral. Master Level: 1.
    • 40 STR: 5% for Power Stance
    • 40 DEX: 5% resistance to all elements and status ailments
    • 40 LUK: 5% Avoidability
    • 40 STR, DEX, and LUK: +5% total damage

Active Skill

  •  Propulsion Burst: Adds an extra jump when used in midair. Can be used 2 times back to back. Master Level: 10
  •  Circuit Surge: At Master Level: Energy Cost: 3, ATT +30, Duration 240 sec. Passive Effect: All stats +10. Master Level: 20

  •  Manifest Projector: Creates a clone that inflicts a portion of the damage you do. Cannot replicate Pinpoint Salvo or the Aegis System. At Master Level: Projection Damage 70%, Projection disappears after losing 1000% of your max HP. Master Level: 20

  • Main stat gives +64, secondary stat gives +40
